Yay or Nay? Emma Robert's Bangs

Emma Robert's recently sported new bangs at Seventeen's Pretty Amazing finalist luncheon on June 18th. She admitted to US Weekly soon after that she was unsure about her new bangs that she was asked to get for her role in Empire State. Personally I think the bangs take away from her angular face shape which I thought was one of her best qualities, and makes her face look more round.

Crave or Save: Tortoise Links Necklace

Large necklaces are one of the biggest trends for summer, and linking jewelry items are everywhere, the design is commonly seen on watches but is expanding into other jewelry fields such as necklaces. Tortoise is a beautiful medium often in sunglasses, but looks sophisticated when it moves into the jewelry realm. BaubleBar has recently become my favorite jewelry shop and this tortoise resin links necklace is classic and beautiful for only $58. Michael Kors offers a similar version, the tortoise link necklace goes for $275. What do you think- crave or save?

My Thoughts: The clothes are super comfortable and are well-made for an inexpensive price. The only complaint I have is that sizing is very difficult to determine- I ordered a skirt in a size 3 (M or 6-8), but it ended up being huge and I had to exchange it for a 1 (XS or 0-2).

Tip du Jour: Overcoming Stress

Stress is something everyone deals with- no matter the age, sex, race, or gender, everyone has stress in their life. Especially with the end of school and beginning of summer fast approaching, I figured this post would be a perfect fit for today. Here are a few tips that have helped me overcome stress:

1. Exercise: Working out has helped me not only feel better about myself, but it is a great escape. Work out whenever you can, but I love working out at night because it helps clear my mind and relieves a lot of stress and anxiety built up from a long day.
2. Eating Healthy: This goes hand in hand with exercise, you'll feel better about yourself and your body will thank you.
3. Sleep: Try to get a little extra sleep each night- you'll feel refreshed and well rested if you get a good night's sleep.
4. Have 'You' Time: Take 15-30 minutes out of your day to relax, whether it's with a glass of wine, a magazine, a chat with your best friend, or a fast aromatherapy bath- take a little time out of your day for you!
5. Laugh: Laughing is a natural way to not only burn calories, but release endorphins. Watch a funny youtube video or do whatever makes you laugh!
