- Arrive, book, and cancel early If it's your first time at the spa, call ahead and ask for recommendations based on what you're looking for (stress relief, dry skin, acne, aging, tense muscle relief, etc.) Book ahead of time so you can get the best service provided possible, and make sure to check spa policy for cancellation and/or rescheduling policies so you don't get charged extra fees.
- What to wear There isn't a dress code for spa's but dress comfortably, considering you will probably have to get into a robe. Typically, I wear flip flops and sweats. Also, don't go with freshly washed hair, especially if you get a facial because you will most likely end up with particles of the oils and such in your hair.
- Speak Up The spa workers are there to make your visit as comfortable as possible, so if something doesn't feel right- speak up! If the masseuse's hands are too strong, suggest going easier. Don't be afraid to speak up!
- Respect The spa is a place for relaxation, so avoid talking loud, or having your cell phone buzzing or ringing. Also, respect the workers, tip 15-20%, ask the receptionist where you should leave your tip
