Style Icons: Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn is to this day my favorite actress, I have seen all of her movies and envisioned myself as Holly Golightly on more than one occasion.

Everlasting Style

• Audrey never considered herself pretty, but the world fell in love with her. Her gamine features, bold eyebrows, and childish grin made her a worldwide sensation. Audrey was never one to go over the top, but preferred a minimalist palette, with clean and simple lines.

• The Givenchy LBD that rocked the world was sold at a 2005 Christie's auction for approximately $920,000.

Friendship with Hubert de Givenchy

• Givenchy and Hepburn met in 1954 when Audrey came to his studio looking for dresses for her role in the 1954 film Sabrina. He continued to dress her for various roles and events until her death in 1993.
