Manicure Monday: OPI 'Princesses Rule!'

This sheer pale pink shimmery shade is perfect for making your nails look polished, your fingers look elongated, while still giving you some sparkle. While I love this shade, it's a hassle to apply and take off! The picture shown here was only acheived after applying 4-5 coats and I know taking it off will be a hassle and a lot of cotton pads will be wasted trying to take off the fine glitter.

Hold on We're Going Home by Drake: I'm loving all of Drake's new album, but this song specifically has been on constant repeat while I've been studying for mid-terms this month.

POP Beauty Aqua 'Flowering Fuschia' Lacquer: I received this in my October Birchbox and I've been using it almost every day this month when I haven't been using my other favorite gloss (see below!) It is super lightweight and the color is very buildable.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Primer: I've been switching out lots of my favorite high-end items for more affordable drugstore items, and this is pretty close to the Benefit POREfessional primer which has been one of my must-have items for years!

NYC Big Bold Plumping 'Pleasantly Plump Pink' Lip Gloss: This does an awesome job of plumping your lips! Although it doesn't add much color to my lips, it looks glossy without being overwhelming.

Clearasil Refreshing Superfruit Wash: Another item I received in my Influenster Varsity VoxBox, this face wash is awesome! Not only does it smell like candy, but it works amazing at clearing up any breakouts and in the morning this is very refreshing and foamy on your skin.

MAC Love Rock Mineralize Duo Blush: I've rediscovered my love for this blush (mainly because of its positioning in my traincase) which was one of my first high end makeup purchases a few years ago.

Trader Joes Cookie & Cocoa Swirl Butter: Hands down my favorite new food item. I've been eating this with a spoon when I'm stressed out (which is often) and I know it's a bad habit, but I can't help it, it's so good!

I'm so thankful I was able to go home during my college's parents weekend. I know it's unconventional to go home on a weekend that parents are supposed to visit you, but it worked out much better for everyone if I came home since it was my younger sisters homecoming weekend and I was able to watch her cheer at the football game and help her get ready for the homecoming dance.

Polished Perfectly Turns Four!

Today, I turned 4 years old... well my blog did anyway. I began writing this blog as a freshman in high school as something for fun, and now as a freshman in college it has helped me get into college, and land positions on my schools fashion magazine, Her Campus chapter, and Fashion Society, among other things. I hope that my blog continues to grow and cheers to another 4 years!

Dorm Tour 2013

Keep your closet clean! Get skinny hangers that have built-in cascading hooks on them to stack your clothes and create space (i.e. huggable hangers). Also put shoes and other items on the bottom such as shoes.

p.s. count the stripes! if you can't tell I have a bit of an addiction to striped tops :)

Decorate your space! These awkward gray squares are built into the windows so I am using it as an inspiration board with various magazine clippings. Posters are also a great way to spruce up plain walls!

Decorate your space! I love the look of my desk with pretty things on it that I love like perfume, nail polish, jewelry, and pictures.

Utilize under your bed! As you can see (hopefully) I lofted my bed with risers to give me a little more space for food, shower products, shoes, and an under bed storage container that holds sweatshirts and towels that are too bulky for drawers.

Take advantage of every bit of space you have! I used the top of my wardrobe to store miscellaneous items like extra shaving creams, cleaning supplies, my mini steamer, and more.
